Opera 9.02 final

The developers of Opera has finished the 9.02-version. Opera 9 has a lot of features.

User interface

  • Fixed quick find field in Windows panel

Mail, messaging, and newsfeeds

  • Fixed high CPU usage while downloading big emails.
  • Properties can now be accessed within the contacts and bookmarks panel
    after deleting items.
  • Image attachments can now be saved using the context menu.
  • Accessing a news link when no news server is configured will now prompt to
    configure a server.

Display and scripting
  • Fixed a DOMParser bug affecting some menu scripts.
  • Click events are now correctly received in designMode.
  • Implemented support for Node.selectNodes, Node.selectSingleNode, and
  • Improved rendering efficiency for repositioned elements, as in Flickr's
    updated "organizr".
  • Allow large integers to be used in object declaration property names, as
    on the comments form on Slashdot beta.

Plug-ins and Java
  • Fix for playing sound clips on Amazon.

  • Fixed an OpenSSL RSA signature verification flaw. See the advisory.

  • Multiple stability improvements, including a stability issue on
  • Improved handling of downloads when the disk is full.
  • Improved handling of Web site logins on slow connections.
  • Improved handling of WAP text inputs.

Windows-specific changes
  • Fix to allow opera to be set as default browser using the prompt at
  • Fix for attaching read-only files in mail.
  • Support for the Windows XP Media Center Edition remote control.
  • Added new settings in the Java section of opera:config to allow you to
    override the system defined JRE.

Mac-specific changes
  • Schubert PDF plugin now works again.
  • Enabled Web archive filenames with more than 28 characters.

DVD ReBuilder Pro 1.10.7

DVD Rebuilder Pro is updated to version 1.10.7. This program is made to make backups from DVDs in high quality.

Changes in DVD Rebuilder 1.10.7 PRO:
  • Corrected a conversion error in the SP2 beta code. This could cause
    several possible problems during PREPARE or ENCODE.
  • Added a check that forces ConvertToYUY2() into AVS files that are destined
    for use in ProCoder. In previous versions deselecting this option could
    cause ProCoder to stop functioning properly.
  • Corrected functioning of the "" buttons in the new beta
    Viewer/Editor. In some countries' numeric formats the "," decimal
    separator wasn't being properly interpreted.
  • Corrected several minor slider positioning errors in the beta
  • Corrected a ReJig sizing error.
  • Corrected an error in the new beta SP2 support. The maximum bitrate value
    was not being properly set. Note that SP2 support continues to be considered
  • Corrected a bug in the ECL generation for the beta CCE SP2 feature.
    Previous video for the PAL system when using SP2 could result in blank
    sections at the end of each video segment.
  • Added settings to the SP2 ECL file that could prevent sizing problems in
    the event that default values were incorrect.
  • Corrected ECL updating routines in the Segement Editor/Viewer for SP2
  • Other minor fixes/enhancements.
